In my previous post "Grand prix will not turn over" I had told about my check engine light blinking, and my car hesitating to accelerate and erratic rpm's. Hammer Time had indicated it was a solid misfire. My coils were replaced around four years ago for a somewhat similar issue. When we took the plugs out to test to see if engine was hydro-locked, I did notice they needed replaced, build up and worn. I plan to replace the plugs and possibly the wires soon. I'm just wondering what causes a solid misfire and what I can do to fix the issue. Thanks

Any number of reasons
No spark due to bad plugs, wires or coils
No fuel due to injector problem, wiring problem or computer problem
No compression due to any number of causes
You need to first determine which cylinder and then start testing that cylinder to see which function is missing.
