Does anyone know the correct procedure for setting the timing on a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport? My friend and I just finished installing a replacement engine (6G72) in my 2001 Mitsubishi Montero Sport and it cranks, but the timing is off. Not a 4x4. Please help.

Check you timing belt these trucks have problem after 80.000 miles with the belts I;ve notice that if they are not changed at 50.000 to 60.000 miles they get pretty lose there is no timing to set, as its PCM controlled. , http://www.flatratetech.com staff tech Indy Shop owner
