Rear Gear Late action

Hello,
I've bought a recondition car recently. its Nissan 2003 Bluebird Silphy 1496cc. I am facing a problem. When I use back gear it acts late 5-8sec late. I've changed gear oil. Its not from nissan though from othe vendors ATF. now its better but I've to press acceletor to rear gear to work. Once I've done so only releasing the break works. but for the 1st time i've to press acceletor to rear gear to take effect.
Now I am worried what happened. Is it the gear box or anything else thats causing problem. Please suggest me asap.

It sounds as though you may have seal problem with the reverse (back gear). Sometimes when the seal gets brittle, it doesn't seal as well and you can get this delayed reaction. A lot of times it's more noticable when the car is cold and gets better as it warms up...
If this is the problem, then there is no cheap fix, the seal would need to be replaced and once the transmission was out & disassembled it would make no sense just changing one seal, so you basically would be looking at a rebuild.
What you can try..........While I'm not a big fan of "additives", there are some out on the market that claim to condition the seals... I'm not sure where you are at but here, I have heard some good stuff about a product called "TransX". The problem I've seen with additives, is sometimes it winds up making the problem worse.....
So this would be your call...

Sidom + others. The product by brand, Trans-X is a viable product as the snake oils go. Use in great moderation only. Of course they want to sell product and would suggest a lot of it but a little will either work or not and may take a day or two.
It has permanently cured sticky rack and pinions, sector shaft seals and dissolved slight varnish of ATF operated items. So far not a single problem caused by it's use - again in moderation - like a couple ounces or a repair is indicated IMO,

hello,
thanks for your suggestion. 1st I'll change ATF of my car. Can You tell me what is the rating(Viscosity) of ATF should be used in Nissan BlueBird Sylphy 2003 1496cc car??

There is no such thing as viscosity rating on ATF. You do have to use the factory recommended type though. The Nissan vehicles sold here take a special fluid. Check your owners manual.
