Hello to all, I am new to this site and I hope I'm posting my question in the right place. I have a 1992 Mazda miata that I recently did a lot of engine work to. I had the head rebuilt and when I picked up the head the man who did the work told me he installed the cam position sensor as close the where it was before he did the work. After I put the engine back together I was getting an intermitten check engine lite. The engine ran perfect and I thought the light was due to a wire problem. Yesterday the car would not start. I checked for spark and I had no spark at #1 cylinder. I disconnected the negative battery cable and waited a minute then the car started and I was able to get it home. my question is if I hook up a scanner will it tell me what the problem is? Also dose the car have a cam and crank positioner sensor or are are they one in the same? Can the cam sensor be out of adjustment or dose it mount in one position? And if it can be adjusted how is it done? Thanks for any feed back. Paul
