hey im also having similar problems on6 my 2000 ford expedition, my girlfriend got home one day and as she went to crank the truck up the truck started to tremble as it was going to shut of. As the vehicle idled the rpms slowly dropped lower and lower till the motor trembled even more. When i put the vehicle in gear it would tremble as it would and when you take of you can feel the lack of power, but as it went up on rpms the trembling stopped until you hit about 50mph the trembling came back. I got the scanner from my job and the codes read P0301 and p0401. im thinking its the spark plug wire as my girlfriend has never changed the spark plugs on the vehicle since she has had it. I took off the intake or i guess throttle body i saw black all over the inside but i wasnt sure if it should be cleaned as it didnt looked clogged. The help would be greatly appreciated..

Did you cure the PO301? A tune up should cure that. The PO401 could be the DPFE sensor. If the passages are clean under the throttle body, the DPFE is probably the problem. Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds
