I have a 1995 Volkswagen Passat 1.9 litre TDI with 103,000 miles, it ran great until the injection pump went out. I bought a rebuilt pump and had a friend of mine who is a very good mechanic for a large Municipality install it for me. It runs great but now has raw fuel pouring out the tailpipe. My friend is not a diesel mechanic so he doesn't know what the problem is. Any ideas/suggestions?? I do not have the money to take it to a diesel mechanic, but I really need to get this thing fix so I can sell the car, it's in very good shape and has low miles for its age. I hope someone out there can help me with this problem, thanks.
