If you want to listen to your buddy, go ahead. I've told you numerous times that he is the cause of your problems.

Please realize that the "minor" imperfections in a head aren't minor. You are talking about things that have a warpage limit of .0005 THOUSANDS of an inch across the total surface to be perfect. There really isn't anything minor as far as that goes, and getting the decks cut to straight isn't an expensive thing to do. Its as common for machine shops as getting oil changes and brake jobs is for us techs. HT will be more than willing to answer your questions as you need I'm sure. He doesn't really get too wound up but please realize he knows the RIGHT way to do these repairs. He doesn't own his own shop because he does things half-assed. He isn't ASE certified because he guesses at the trouble. He diagnoses. You couldn't find a more knowledgable man to help you in this repair to do it right. But we get people all the time thinking that everyone in this industry is just bending them over the counter when they are ignorant of their own vehicle. VERY few people have run shady operations and most of the time its a misunderstanding or a simple mistake. Hey, we're human too. Are you always perfect at your job? When we have people saying such things, I have to wonder about them. They are trash talking the very people they are asking for help from! Every one of us are ASE certified, and either have retired from a long career in shops or currently work in them. We take pride in our knowledge and ability. I've personally been accused of inflating bills or sabotaging cars just because of the ignorance of the owners. I'm not the only one here that has experienced that. Look back at archived posts if you like. Lot of people trash us techs. HT gets a lot of that especially since he owns his shop, and has to deal with customers. All of us in the business know the local machine shops. If they were shady, they would be out of business. None of us would deal with them. You came to us for advice. We won't steer you wrong. We make nothing for giving you advice. So we have nothing to gain telling you to do something that costs more. Our only interest is telling you how to do it right so it only gets done once.

Alright Guys I have news...

We ran through the sequence of tightening the rocker arms in the sequence needed...to no avail...

One of my Mechanic Uncles said it's because my car has 180k miles on it..and that I need to tighten them while running...tighten until they miss and back them off till it runs smoothly...

And we did..and viaola...Compression...no missing and no lifter clicking...It's running again...

But I do have one last question.

On top of the Intake there is a valve sticking up, pulling air in.. the Map says (To Access)....There is no hose on this, we don't have one to put on it..and we don't remember removing one...It's just pulling air in...

My question is do you guys know if we left or lost a hose off that?..Or if it is just supposed to pull Air in?
