Positive Crankcase Ventilation Problem

Year of vehicle: 1965
Make of vehicle: Chevrolet
Model of vehicle: Corvette
Engine size: 327cu, 350hp
Mileage: 250 since last rebuild
Positive crankcase ventilation system has exhaust coming from rear engine air intake. Carb has a vacuum connected to oil filler tube. I believe air intake should have a vacuum from carb connection to oil filler tube. I lost about 1 quart of oil in which a portion ended up in the air filter. Other than a possible ring problem could anything else be causing this problem?
Please advise.

That's basically what the PCV system is there for. Make sure you have a good valve and sufficient vacuum supply to it. If the rings are producing more blowby than the PCV can keep up with, then you have an internal problem to deal with.
