My 2005 Chevy S-10 pick up has been very difficult to start for the past 2 weeks. It turns over very slowly and then finally starts. Almost like a weak battery. I had it checked at Auto Zone and they said the battery was fine.

I started to think that maybe it is the starter or plugs (never been tuned and has 139,000 miles.

Today, the truck wouldn't start at all. I put a battery charger on it and it didn't make any difference. It turned over maybe once and then you hear something like fluid moving. No clicking sounds.

Any ideas?

I would do voltage drop across all your connections to starter and ground.. then you will need a ammeter to measure how much current is being drawn while your trying to start the truck.. You will also when need a volt meter on the battery to make sure the battery dosen't drop below 12V to get a acurate reading on the ammeter. Ohms law voltage goes down current goes up. So if voltage goes down too much while testing you might get a false reading on the ammeter.

To do a voltage drop test you need a volt meter set so DCV. Your going to be measuring your connections for good continuity. You may need a assistant.
Take positive probe and put it on the post of the batter (negitive or positive) then put the negitive lead on the clamp, engadge the starter should see 0.0V.. they say your allowed up to 0.3V drop I would clean the terminal if you see anything above 0.1V..

You can do this test along the whole circuit anywhere there is a connection you have in question.. Also be sure to test the ground side make sure all the connections are good.
