Overturned bearing in a camshaft Sign In

'99 Mazda Protege, automatic, 1.6L, ~125,000kM

What might cause a bearing to overturn in a crankshaft?

Would cruddy oil or a clogged oil-pump filter have any effect?

Thanks!

What happened here? Do you mean a "spun bearing" ?? Lack of oil pressure for any reason can damage engine bearings. How did you come up with the diag of an "overturned" bearing??
