I have a 2004 Chevy Silverado 5.3 liter with 130,000 mi. My oil pressure guage was spiking past 80 psi. I got home and shut off the engine but the guage did not return below 80. It went to 80 like it was 0 and then when I turned it back on it jumped back to when I first noticed it. I just changed the oil 2 weeks ago and added Lucas additive to it. Seems to be running good. No smoke or sputtering. Any suggestions?

Check the wiring to your oil pressure sender. If ok I would try a new sending unit. LIFE'S SHORT GO FISH
