There is a crank sensor fault only now and then. Hope you can help, Many thanks Discretesignals Ultimate Carjunky / Moderator Dec 21, 2011, 6:06 AM Post #2 of 3 (5489 views) Re: Nissan X-Trail Cam Sensor Sign In Your going to have to take it to a shop that can use an oscilloscope to check the signal waveform from the cam sensor to determine what is going on. The crank wave form should be checked also if your getting trouble code from that. The ECU must be not seeing or seeing a weird waveform from the sensor, so it can't sycronize the fuel injectors. With the sensor unplugged the ECU defaults to batch firing the injectors. If you are loosing crank signal, the engine will stall or won't start. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
