My engine wont turn

I have a 1991 pontiac firebird formula, when i try to start it, it will crank and not turn over and start. I took it in to have it looked at, the mechanic told me that everything was firing perfect and the timing was good, he thought that maybe my map sensor was bad so i went out and bought one and installed it, and it still wont start.. do i need to push start the car so it will recognize the new part? my engine is a 5.7 l 350 hp v8...

You need to figure out if you are missing the spark or fuel. If you can let us know that, we can give you more specific answers.
