My 1997 GMC Savana won't start

On Friday, my wife went to the BMV. On her way there, the brake light came on. She went inside and when she came out the van wouldn't start. I have checked the distributor and plugs. There is spark coming out but not going into the distributor. Fuel pressure is fine. The engine turns over, but won't catch. Could it be the ignition switch or the electronic spark control module? I don't want to put a lot of parts on it that it really doesn't need. Thanks!
