Mitsubishi Jerking when accelerating!	Sign In

Hi, i have a Mitsubishi Galant gdi engine 1998 model, automatic transmission. The car is jerking at constant speed when driving and the check engine light is on. I tried to diagnose the car myself and i got code 56. Can u please help me find out what the problem may be. Thankyou.

http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/ check this site it might help, I couldn't find a code 56

if you got the code by counting flashes, i think you missed the first couple digits.

I think i missed the code. But may i know what may be the problem.the car jerks when at constant speed. Can it be a dirty fuel injector? Thanks

Is there a possibility thye car needs a tune up? If plugs or wires are old, they can breakdown under a light load condition.

Being way2old is why I need help from younger minds

Take it to autozone and let them read the puter and they will print out what could be the cause
