Mazda misses after warmup Sign In

95 millenia, rebuilt motor 5000 miles ago. When first starts, idles fine, but when it warms up, it misses. It runs fine otherwise and gas mileage is about what I expect, 20+ mpg. Check engine light is on, but was told by my mechanic it is a $300 sensor that doesn't affect performance. Any suggestions about where to start?

Don't know. At one time he wiggled a wire and the check engine light went out, but missing when warm continued.

Get a code reading as it could still be in memory for a while. This could just be a wiring connection or vacuum leak. Gotta check everything that gets unhooked to pull an engine out,
