Mazda 3 2010 GT Engine Noise Sign In

Hi everybody,

we just bought a used Mazda 3 GT (2.5L) with 81000 miles(130k Km) on it. We had Honda cars (Civic, Accord) previously so it is difficult for me to distinguish how a Mazda 3 (2.5L) should sound.

Here's a video of the engine:

Except for the pulley bearing noise, is there any knocking sound coming the engine?

Tks

That's definitely a very noisy engine. Can't really pinpoint what the noise is from a video. Does it even have oil in it?

Oil is ok. The cell microphone is sensitive, it's probably making it worst than it is in reality.

There is a light knocking noise but it could be completely normal for an American engine (Ford). That's my I'm asking.

Here is the same engine from the Ford Fusion:

Yep, that one sounds too loud too. That's why videos aren't always helpful.
