The malfunction indicator lamp is constantly coming on, and just recently the car died while I was driving down the highway. The dealership said the computer needed to be reprogrammed, but I didn't even make it out of the parking lot before the light came on again. The dealership told me that the computer didn't "take" the reprogramming & did it again. Well, the car only lasted 24 hours before dying again, and now they are telling me it is the MAP sensor that is bad. Does this sound right to anyone? Thats exactly what happens when those go bad. Make sure you trust the dealership - sounds like they may be just grabbing at straws.
