MAP problem Sign In

I have a 1998 Honda Accord LX 4 door. I need the technical specs on voltage readings coming from the PCM to the MAP sensor while unplugged, and while plugged in. My computer is telling me there is a problem. I'm trying to troubleshoot it. Are there any free online repair manuals available for this car that anyone knows of?

Re: MAP problem Sign In

If you have a cole for MAP sensor and the wiring and connections all look good it probably needs the MAP sensor. There is still room for that to be wrong but you may have to just trust that. I don't know of a good safe way to test this or a site for testing procedure of these things and there may be out there.

A pretty comprehensive manual for the car is available sold by ALLDATA.com which may help,

Re: MAP problem Sign In

Tom,
Thanks for your reply. There are two different codes for the map sensor. One is low input, and the other is high input. I didnt know if something else in the system could be causing this? I found out how to test the map sensor for voltages, and found I had high voltage coming out the signal wire at idle. I replaced the map sensor and it runs fine. Thanks again for your reply.
