Hello Everyone!
I've been experiencing a lot of problems with my car. I live in Colorado and this January when it was cold, my car would not start. I thought it may just be a frozen fuel line, so I didn't mess with it until Spring. In the spring it was still dead.
I had a guy come out and look at it. We finally got it started but it sounded terrible. He said it was the spark plugs and possibly ignition coil. He replaced the spark plugs and left. When I went back to move it, it still sounded terrible, like a dirtbike with a lot of shaking in the engine and exhaust. I tried driving it and could barely get up the incline of out driveway. Even with the accelerator to the floor, it would barely get above 1000rpms or 15 mph. It would rev in park though. Does anyone have any suggestions of what it could be? I've tried researching online and think it may be the ignition coil. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I live in the mountains and a good mechanic or shop is VERY expensive. ($120 to tow my car half a mile to the shop) If it is something I could fix myself that would be awesome! Thank you so much!

What tools do you have access to ?
A scanner?
A fuel pressure gauge?
A DVOM?
Basic hand tools - sockets, wrenches?
The check engine light - is it on -?
...........how long has it been on?
When you start vehicle does the CK eng Light come on @2seconds then go out?
first suggestion is the codes, second if fuel pressure, then fuel quality- its been sitting awhile, then ck spark at ALL plugs.

Thank you for your response. I do not have access to many resources right now. Check engine light is on and when I give it some gas in park it will start blinking. Hopefully I can provide you with some more information, I have a guy coming to look at it, otherwise I might just have to bite the bullet and get it towed

A flashing CEL is a priority, catalytic converter damage is likely.
possible stuck open injector or no spark at plugs... ck fpr spark at ALL plugs- fuel pressure leak down test.
The check engine light is your friend never ignore it.
