Loss of power at cruising speed Sign In

I have 1987 Nissan 300zx Non-Turbo 3.0 V6.
The car passed inspection with no problems but it has a recurring problem when cruising (35 mph).
The car starts and idles fine but once your driving down the road a couple of miles it starts sputtering and jerking. If you give the car gas it bogs and slows but, if you push in the clutch the car and let the car idle for a few seconds it will race to redline as if nothing is wrong for a couple of miles and the cycle starts all over again.
I assume it is a sensor or maybe a faulty wire to the sensor I just don't know which one.
Changed the timing chain and gears (198,000 miles), wires, plugs, fuel filter and the air cleaner.
Please help Unsure

COULD BE ALOT OF THINGS...MASS AIRFLOW. FUEL PUMP, YOU SHOULD CHECK THE FUEL PRESSURE TO SEE IF IT IS RIGHT. ON THE VG-30E ENGINE IS 30PSI. AND 37 WITH NO VACUUM TO REGULATOR. MAYBE THAT WILL NARROW IT DOWN SOME FOR YOU..........GK
