Ok well i found the problem with my car but know i cant find the right pump for my car. i pulled one from a junk yard which the pump looked exactly the same but mine has two little terminals on the top and open but the one i got has it where the terminals are inside where a plug goes on it. so i just put the positive and negative wire inside on the terminals and the pump works but when i go to dirve the car it goes for like 30 secs then the pump stops and my car cuts out. so i know that mean the pump isnt the right one but i cant find or afford a new pump for $300. i got the pump i have now for free from a junk yard.lol. but i have one more source trying to get me another pump to try tomorrow. everyone that i look at online doesnt look the same as the one in my car. why is the top posts always different on the ones i look at? they come with a plug to rewire it but i dont know? .lol.Unsure

Ahhh...got it! A lot of new fuel pumps come with a new or improved plug for the new pump. Go back to the junk yard a and cut the plug off and use it for your car. Or thy another source for a different pump. hope this helps

Well what I'm thinking is either the connections are not staying on well because it is not attached with the plug or the used pump is acting like a used pump (it may be bad). Does it start right back up after it dies or does it take a bit before it will restart?

Hmm. I'm thinking the pump might be bad. Bad pumps will sometimes cut out when hot and come back when not. Take the pump out and hook up some jumpers to run the pump. Pump fuel from a full gas can to empty gas can. See it it cuts off in the same amount of time. That will eliminate any other source of trouble from the car. Be careful sparks are bad. Wink
