Isuzu Rodeo Problem

I have a 94 Rodeo 4x4 3.2 v6 that has had its share of problems the past year. recently I replaced the fuel pump and everything has been great. I drove to a store, turned it off for about 10 minutes, and it wouldnt restart. Acted like it wasnt getting any fuel. Fuel pump was replaced beginning of september this year. ok, its under warranty, dropped the tank and replaced it again. car ran for about 5 miles and quit. now it starts again, idles fine, when pressing the gas pedal it bogs down like either no fuel or flooding. did some research and replaced the throttle position sensor. no change. any ideas?

Chris; You are going to need to get a fuel pressure reading and have the computer scanned to see what's going on. If the fuel pressure is within specs, it could very well be flooding due to other issues. Let us know what kind of pressure you see and any trouble codes stored.

when i managed to get it home, by getting the rpms up enough to gain momentum, i finally got the check engine light to come on and the only code was 44. When I looked it up it was o2 sensor and gas metering. Not sure how to check the fuel pressure on it. It actually is doing the stalling/bogging act with the new throttle position sensor. I am thinking that I fried the motor on the fuel pump or damaged it when I crossed the wires after removing the old connector. I did replace the fuel filter as well which I forgot to mention. Thinking about swapping out the fuel pump again since it is under warranty. It is a very frustrating and perplexing problem. Ive done all the work except replacing the tranny.

chris; You really need to get this hooked up to a scanner with live data. The O2 sensor code could very easily be a result of the problem, rather than the cause. The TPS directly affects fuel delivery, so that needs to be rechecked, as well. Not sure if your's is adjustable, or not.
