hi,
I have a manual 2004 Hyundai accent that wont start. I was driving on the freeway last night and all of a sudden my car started decelerating. i tried changing gears to see if maybe it slipped out but it did nothing. i pulled to the side of the freeway and tried restarting it, but nothing. my car was not overheated when it started decelerating or when it was on the side of the road. i had electric power, and when i try to start it it was turning over but sounded a little different, maybe turning faster. oh yea, when it started decelerating i could smell gas but when i pulled over there was no leakage under my car. does anyone know what could possibly be wrong? please help

sounds like might be timing belt issue that would first thing i would check since its easy to get the belt cover off on a accent.
