How to id #1 cylinder on 2001 Hyundai Sonata

2001 Hyundai Sonata 4 cyl failed emissions test with "#1 cylinder misfiring". In standing in front of car, looking at engine, which is the #1 cylinder?
Also, check engine light is on, which I assume is connected to the above.
I plan to start by replacing plugs and maybe plug wires. Any other suggestions?

Bit of advice when you pull the number one plug wire look at the boot real good and I bet you will see carbon tracks on it, and make sure that your timming belt is good it needs to be replaced every 60k miles if it breaks you will bend valves mostly the exhaust ones. I know this because I worked at a Hyundai dealership for almost 10 years as a mechanic.
