High Mileage tips plz

Ok im not a car person so if you could make things a little simpler that would be great... So i recently bought a 93 Mercury Grand Marquis with a 159k Miles on it for $600. Only problem thats wrong with it is its burning a little bit of oil. I want this boy to run for at least another 4 years IF possible. Besides a major tune up, not beating on it, and general care what else do you guys suggest i should do / replace?

That's a bit of a conflicting statement there. You bought a car with 160K on it that burns oil and you want it to last 4 more years. You should have bought one that didn't burn oil and had lower mileage. Those 2 things can't be changed. You can try to baby it but you already have 2 strike against you.

Ok Well what do you think i should do to maximize its life? Its a first car bro weather its a good or bad buy i love the thing already.

Just change the oil at regular intervals and add some STP or equivalent with the oil to slow down the burning.

If you want it to last a long time don't do any mods.
Maybe just a K&N factory style air filter.
