i have a 1995 ford f-150 i just bought it and the belt was shot so i
replaced it. i started the truck and the belt started to walk itself
off of the crankshaft pulley. at first i thought it was the tensioner
because the belt didn't seem very tight. i went and bought a new
tensioner and installed it and the belt is still starting to come off
the crankshaft pulley I'm so confused

Did the old one fly off too or was is it just worn out?.. did you check and make sure it had same number of ribs, length was the same and was same width?
