Any ideas? Could it be the clutch or the fuel injection? Lack of power and odor (whatever or however described) suggests maybe the odor of burning brake or clutch material or maybe again the converter is restricted or burning so hot you can smell it as well. Assorted fluids do have distinct odors most of the time.
