F-150 electrical problem

When driving, my oil light comes on and at the same time my temperature gauge goes all the way to red. I have checked, and the truck is neither overheating nor low on oil. At high speeds, the truck then seems to suddenly lose most of the power. If I turn the engine off (even while driving) the engine then returns to normal, at least for a while. The dealer couldn't find anything wrong, and another shop replaced the alternator, but that didn't help. Any suggestions as to the problem?
