Engine won't idle anymore

Hi all i'm new to the forum,
I have a Toyota Soarer (1JZ-GTE engine) that i'm fixing up, and the engine was pretty good untill it stopped idling, now I have 2 keep the foot on the gass to keep the engine running, once i release my foot from the gas it dies. The cars been sitting in my car port for a while if thats any help (like 6 months, cause i haven't had the money to buy parts for it but now i do) but i start it up once every week to keep the engine in good nic
It stopped idling when i once reved up to near redline which is fine cause i know these engines are like bulletproof, but now it won't idle..
any ideas?

Not that bullet proof sport!
Let's hope no disastrous engine damage occurred. With the history of weekly start and run for a while - guessing without driving it - it may have built up some deposits in the combustion area that threw a bit of debris to short a spark plug which would disturb any idle.
That or a valve (or more) has crashed into piston as it couldn't get out of the way in time for this NO LOAD, RED-line drama!
Suggest you begin by inspecting each spark plug and take a compression test then report results,
