Engine quits while driving, restarts right away

I have had three instances of sudden, complete engine stoppage while driving my 1994 1/2 ton Chev pickup. Each time it restarted right away and ran normally. Local shop found a faulty fuel pump relay and replaced it just before the last instance. What could cause this?

It could be many things but A Crankshaft Position sensor is pretty common. It could get expensive just throwing parts at it although it's going to be very hard to be able to test it in a failed state.
