I have a 2001 chevy metro LSI 1.3L automatic. Without any apparrent warning the engine lost power on take-off until it reached about 3000 rpm. I was able to do highway speed with litle notice of lost power. My first thought was that it my have jumped timing. I pulled the timing cover of and aligned the timing marks according to Haynes repair manual. Everything looked good. Checked fuel pump pressure (45-50 psi). The manual said something about low transaxle fluid, I check and was about a pint low. I top it off and took it for a test drive. I was sceptical but the problem dissappeard. The car ran excellant for the better part of a week and without warning the problem reappeared. I rechecked the fluid level and found it was O'K. Other people fairly knowledgeable about cars said it was a clogged converter. This made sense so I replaced the converter. That was not the problem. I have no check engine codes. Could it a sensor affecting the timing. THANKS Joe
