Engine / Transmission shipping weight question? Sign In

I am looking for an estimate on the shipping weight of an engine and in a separate crate a transmission. I do not have a scale with enough capacity to weigh them and need to provide the shipper an estimate. The engine in question is a complete with wire harness a 2005 LS-2 GTO (complete top to bottom) in one crate and a 4L65 automatic transmission in another. Can anyone provide a reasonable weight estimate?

Thanks

You could drive a truck to a scale and then have it weighed. Then load your crates and drive back to the scale and have it weighed again.

Us technicians are not going to know the weight of your items.
