I drove the 1999 Chrysler Town and Country through a flooded road at night. It died almost instantly. It would not turn over when I tried to restart her. I tried once while it was in the water. And several more times after I got it pushed out of the water. Since then, I have removed all the spark plugs, drive belt and starter and filled all cylinders with marvel mystery oil and tried to turn crank shaft by hand with no success. Also tried new battery. How can I unlock this engine?

Remove engine , insert fresh engine. U have probably bent the rods. It would cost more too repair than to replace with a salavage yard engine.

Yep, RT is right. Water cannot be compressed so if it's ingested into a cylinder, when the piston comes back up, something has to give and the connecting rod is the weakest point.

Worst thing you did was try restarting it after it had stalled out before removing the spark plugs as you had found out.

You might be able to save the engine by replacing the bent connecting rods if they didn't do any damage to the cylinder walls. You'll have to disassemble the engine to see what happened and if it is worth repairing.

Pretty sure the air pick up is low on these so highly likely it sucked up tons of water and game over for that engine as costs with unknown damage would exceed a good used one. Take plugs out and do some diagnosing but expect serious damage,
