Hi all
I have a 1992 Dodge Caravan 3 liter engine auto trans. AC power brakes and power steering.180K on the odometer.The engine will fire when you try to start it and will stop as soon as you release the key. To be clear as long as the starter motor is running the engine will fire as soon as you release the key it dies. I have tested all the relays and fuses I could find. Checked fuel level in tank and checked fuel rail to see if under pressure, it has pressure at the bleed valve and it has fuel in the rail. I don't no where to look next

Sounds like a bad ignition switch to me. With the ignition on check for power in the fuse panel on fuses 13,14, and 15. If you have no power to the fuses with the ignition on but have power to them with the ignition in the start position, replace the ignition switch.

Thank you for the quick response, I haven't had time to try your solution, some family issues. Tomorrow I have all the time I need. I will post a note and let you know how it goes. Thank you Crash

Hi all I checked the fuse panel as directed, I had 12+ volts on the pins, I decided to follow some funky wiring under the dash and an UNGO brand antitheft device it is tapped into various wiring there is a ridiculous amount of wires. I am attempting to source a schematic so I can unhook this thing. I bought the van used ran well for a couple of weeks and then it stopped. Thank you for your assistance. I will no doubt ask more questions.

Most aftermarket anti theft system disable the starter motor. I would unhook the whole system and splice the wires back together the way it was originally. Then see what happens.
