what condition are the plugs and wires?Maybe too lean condition.Does it stall in open or closed loop? How long does it take to stall? Will it stall if you dont touch the gas pedal?check engine light ever came on?it may have fuel but not enough.can you keep car running with carb spray or propane? That would tell you if it was a lean condition.Do you have a scan tool?how does car start......right away or take a few cranks?

Plugs and wires are new. It will run for 5 or 6 minutes before stalling if you don't touch the gas pedal, stalls as soon as you do touch the gas. Check engin light is not on and my code reader finds no codes. Smells like gas when it starts running rough, and when you pull the plugs they are wet with gas, so I it is not a lean condition. Car starts right up when cold but after stalling it will not re-start. Have installed new fuel pump, filter, pressure reg, plugs, wires and coil packs. Will not keep running when ether is sprayed into intake.

Hi,

Seems the engine is always being told it's cold which might be a connection or the sensor. A way to check it is at this link....

It's not that expensive and very well might be it but my guess is more likely a connection as I don't hear of many on these engines failing?? Unlike some other makes this part is called "engine coolant temp sensor" or ECT for short. It's a maybe??
