Help me before I kill my truck. My Chevy 5.7L Vortec 150,000 miles. Replaced fuel filter when I was noticing bad mpg. Then a week after my truck was idling and would lose rpm and stall. Replaced fuel pump. Still would idle for one minute and stall. Replaced egr valve, still same problem. Replaced every single sensor, new battery and cables, took apart intake, checked injectors, all fine. Still same thing idle and then stop. Rented a computer to diagnose problem, no code tried this for twelve hours still no code . Rented a fuel pressure gauge and found that the fuel filter I first purchased was bad replaced again, and again, and again. Now I believe I blew my fuel regulator and the wiring harness. I have spent over $1600 in parts on this truck in less than two weeks I'm out of money need to get back to work. I wanted to bypass the wiring harness by installing a toggle switch to manually turn on the fuel pump. Can anyone give me an idea of what the heck is wrong and how I can get this thing running for less than $100. PS I've had two mechanics over and this is what their telling me to do, but even they can't figure out whats going on. Each step I take doesn't resolve the issue. Help!

Forget the toggle switch nonsense. What exactly is the truck doing? Is it just stalling and starting right back up? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
