I recently did an ignition system tuneup on my truck. I had a bit of a rough idle before, and it felt like it a misfiring cylinder. I replaced spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor button, and ignition coil. I had the ignition module tested and it was ok. After this tuneup the truck was running like a champ for about 2-3 weeks. The day that it started the newest problem it started up fine and accelerated on the interstate with no problems. Later on the truck was unable to idle and would not rev past 2000 RPM. The idle is extremely rough and remains rough when rev'd up. I have replaced the fuel filter, rechecked all plugs & wires & etc. The exhaust seems to flow normally as well (so I don't think its a Cat problem). Check engine light sometimes comes on while idling.
