Check engine light + fuel gauge

I have a 2002 Dodge Intrepid. It has had some problems in the past (replaced water pump, oil leak, alternator, and battery). It runs fairly well, but today the check engine light came on and the fuel gauge began bouncing from 3/4 full to empty repeatedly. While the check engine light wasn't flashing, it was continually beeping every time the gauge would move. Is this electrical or is it something more serious?

Its electrical,....take it to autozone and have the computer codes read and go from there.
