When I turn the key to start the car, the radio turns on, the lights turn on and I can hear a click from my engine but nothing else happens. I have been able to get it to start after a few tries but this morning it refused. I added Heet to the gas and it still would not start. I just need it to go one more time so I can get it into the repair shop. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the battery ot the cables? A weak battery can work all the accessories and not have enough amperage to turn the starter. Corrosion on tha cables can do the same thing. If you can jump start it, I would say the battery is bad.

If all you hear is a click, your problem might be the starter solenoid going out. Will the motor crank over or does it just sit there. is the battery dead? If you have a bad cell in the battery it will not hold a charge, but if the battery is charged then look toward the starter. Can you jump start it without any problems? A friend of mine has a chevy blazer and his ignition switch is going out, but it acts like the starter. it takes him 3 or 4 times of wiggleing the key for it to want to start.
