Car stalling and dying when stopping or slowing down? 2000 Honda Accord - manual 5 speed, 4 cyl, 170K miles. Started with errors codes stating all four cylinders mis-firing. Replaced plugs, wires, cap rotor. Even PCV valve and EGR valve. Still get errors. Car starts and idles fine. But once I start driving, the car dies everytime I depress the clutch and slow down (brake). The rpms start dropping until the car dies. This may not be cuasing the codes as my AC compressor in on the way out and is cuasing the engine to idle like crap when AC on. Codes P0300 - Random Misfire P0301 - P0304 - Cylinder number # misfire detected

super; Are you still getting the PO300 series codes after the plugs, wires, cap, ect? Fuel injection uses an idle air control motor to control idle speed. They can get dirty, gummy, and react too slowly to compensate for quick speed changes. 90% of the time, they can be cleaned and be 'just fine'. If the idle speed is dropping too low, that could be causing the misfire codes. If you haven't had an injector service done in the past 40K miles, I'd recommend having that done. When we do that service, it includes cleaning the IAC and MAF sensor. We're not talking about the snake oil they sell to put in the tank. This is done with a machine, costs around $100. and takes about an hour to do. Loren SW Washington
