Car Shaking..Need Opionions. thanks	Sign In

I have a 1993 Grand Prix. It's in good condition. This just started yesterday.

when I am stopped at a light or sign my car shakes. Then I hit the gas it shakes even more for a few seconds. then stops. It doesnt feel like my car has any get up.

Anyone with any ideas? I really appreciate it.

p.s. I just moved to L.A and do not have a go to mechanic. So I wanted to get some ideas first.

Hi Kevin,

Your car is shaking from the engine right, and not when you are braking? Do you think your car is running smoothly, or could it use a tune-up? I'm asking because most likely your car seems to be idling rough, but if it is tuned up it may be an engine mount that has gone bad.

thanks for responding.

The car only shakes when I'm waiting at stop lights or stop signs. Then once I hit the gas after waiting it shakes a bit more then stops. It doesn't shake in Nutrual. And, when I turn on the A/C it shakes alittle. I got a tune up about 2/3 months ago. Hoever, I am in L.A and maybe I need one. Anyhow, let me know if you think of anything. I appreciate this. Also, I took it in to one shop and they said it could be transmition? they could be trying to get me to spend more.

What happens if you Rev it up while in Nutrual? to about 2500 /3500 rpm's?
