I HAVE A '92 DAKOTA 3.9 V-6.

THE COIL FIRES REALLY GOOD-DIDN'T HOLD RUBBER BOOT!! #1 PLUG WON'T FIRE.

THESE ARE THE VALUES FOR THE CAM SENSOR:
ALL CHECKS ARE BACK-PROBED
SENSOR CONNECTED
1) TAN-YELLOWISH WIRE=.07V WITH KEY ON (WKO); .11V CRANKING (C)
2) GRAY/BK ST WIRE=.03V WKO; .07 C

SENSOR DISCONNECTED
1) GRAY/BK ST=.O3V WKO; .11/.12-(HIGH) .26/.30V C
2) TAN/YELLOWISH=4.98V WKO; 5.02-5.10 C

SHOULD WE CONCLUDE THE SENSOR IS BAD WITH NO 5.0V VALUE WHEN CONNECTED?

THE CRANK SENSOR GAVE ME SIMILAR VALUES. DOES THE CR-S DEPEND ON THE CA-S OR THE OTHER WAY AROUND?

THANX FOR ANY ADVICE

OK, you need to stop opening new threads. If someone wants to get involved, you already have other threads.

If your coil is firing while cranking the engine, you don't need to check for crank or cam signals because they are there. You need to figure out why that spark isn't reaching the plug once it goes inside the distributor.
