Hi, I have. 1993 honda Civic LX, so I could only drive it in town for awhile, (un related problems.) so it finally got fixed, we drove it about two towns out, 45mins there and back, it drove fine on the way, it drove back fine, until we parked it, it started over heating when we parked. Weird because it never had over heat before. (We drove it for 45 mins, watched a movie at the cienema.) so it's not like we drive it straight for awhile ya know. Anyways, every time I drive I have to fill it with coolant, next to the radiator cap there is coolant. My brother is a good mechanic, but he takes so long to do anything. I just want to know what it is!! It does not smoke, front or back, and it drives fine. If I drive it in town I don't need to fill it too much. Only if I drive freeway. Help me!! And also the oil looks fine. Coolant is also clean.

You need to have the cooling system pressure tested to locate and repair the leak. I wouldn't be driving it in the meantime though. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

I just don't understand why people do that. "Hey honey, the engine is overheating." "That's ok. Lets keep driving it." Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
