1999 Toyota Rav4 approx 110,000 miles My car is overall in pretty good shape, and I don't drive it that much. However, occasionally when going up a hill on a highway or similar road the engine will start making this rattling sound- best I can describe it is like a baseball card being put in a fan or bicycle spokes. The sound stops if I let off the gas and slow down going up the hill. Any help with what this could be would be appreciated. I am just hoping to get another couple years out of this car...

Hard to guess noises like that and the source. My guess for now is an exhaust noise as it seems by your description to happen under load. You must be totally careful or don't do this.......... Brake stand it while still and don't go nuts but noise might show up with that load. Hey - vehicle could take off so nobody do that if not sure of what you are doing and don't if with a helper stand in front of vehicle. Bet it is load dependant and exhaust is one thing that could make more noise with load, T
