99 chevy malibu, New exhaust with converter, plugs, coils, map sensor, gas tank fill tube, & cap The car will be running fine & it will start stalling & running like it's running out of gas, after it stalls I'll put the car in neut. & crank it if I hold it to the floor it will start up & some times it will continue to stall & sometimes it will run fine. We have noticed that the exhaust is very smelly during this process.

Could be a few things Mike but what i would do first is a fuel pressure test to check your fuel pump, Should have a pressure value of 41 - 47 psi, Key on engine off (KOEO) Just a little tip, if you just changed your plugs i hope you didn't use Bosch plugs that will give you that same problem believe me see it so many times in my shop . Post back after you carried out the fuel pressure test . .Indy Tech , http://www.flatratetech.com staff tech Indy Shop owner

Thanks for your reply, the car is at a repair shop now they have checked fuel pressure it is a little low. They were able to get it to fail & said that it lost fuel pressure, they installed a new fuel filter & have been driving the car, the fuel pressure has not dropped but is a little low. Thanks I'll keep you updated.
