hello, iv just bought a 98 mazda 626 v6. iv had the fuel pump, filter, throttle position sensor(used), and plugs replaced. But while im driving it loses power, sometimes worse than other times. It acts like it is missing or starving for fuel at these times aswell. The check engine light sometime comes on and flashes but once power is restored the light shuts off. If i lose power i noticted if i turn over drive off and get it to rev to 3grand it comes back. Its very flustrating and my boyfriend has a few ideas- there is a gap in the air filter box he is questioning, maybe crank sensor. if anyone has anyother ideas it would be greatly appreciated. iv fallin in love with the car in the short time iv had it. it was a christmas present and i want to keep it. thank you so much!!!

Well, if the check engine light is coming on that means that there are probably codes being stored. You can have the computer scanned to find out what the codes are. Write down the code numbers and let us know.

i went to advance they said they couldnt read anything. so no luck there. my boyfriend drove it this week and he noticed that if u slow down below 30, arnd a turn or to a stop, that if u turn the over drive off usually it dont lose power. and iv also observed that it is worse when its been raining or just alot of moisture in the air.

My 98 626 runs good for about 45 minutes then starts cutting out and will completely stall out. after letting it sit for about 5-10 minutes it will re-fire and run again. Sometimes it will only go for about another 5-10 minutes then it will do it again. I let it sit then it will go again. IT seem to do it worse in city driving but I've had it happen while highway driving
