98 honda civic check engine light

Yesterday morning my check engine light came on and now while in 1st and 2nd gear while accelerating my car wants to stall out but then it accelerates and is fine in the higher gears. Any suggestions what the problem is.

hey there j.d
first of all ,you need to get the system data scanned for trouble codes..then someone here can hopefully help ya..
stop by autozone ,murrays,advance..parts stores..they will read the codes for free....
post back codes and someone here will try and help for sure...
very knowledgeable techs here...
