not jud; I really don't see any 'forseeable' problems, either. You'll need to use the intake manifold and all of your sensors from the Bravada on the replacement engine for computer compatibility reasons. You'll probably have to use the Bravada's oil pan, and possibly exhaust manifolds. Basically, you'll just be using the '97 long block. Are both automatics? If one is a standard trans, there may be an issue with the crankshaft/flywheel/flexplate. Make sure both are 'W' or both 'Z' engines. (8th digit of the VIN#) Loren SW Washington

me again, no title to the '97 (the engine i want to use), he called his insurance company, they had it on record still. . .and they didn't have Z or W, but a V!! i figure either the ins. co. wrote it wrong, or there's a "V" option i didn't know about. both engines are from automatics with air conditioning, and 4.3s. have you heard about a V?

I was incorrect. Should be a W or an X engine. The V (10th digit) means it is a '97. Loren SW Washington
