hi there, got any ideas?
- 96' dodge neon, 88k miles (although the odometer/speedometer only work part of the time due to an entirely different spotty electrical problem, so it probably has closer to 98k miles), standard transmission, 2.0 liter, 16 valve, dohc.
- it was running fine until the radiator leaked dry and subsequently over-heated my car, so i replaced the radiator and had a coolant flush and changed the oil.
- a couple weeks later, my neon has developed a really low and rough idle, but typically doesn't die. the worst thing though is the sporadic acceleration, especially in low rpm's. i can start in first gear, hit the gas/release the clutch normally, the car will jerk along until the rpm's reach about 3.5 and then it seems to accelerate just fine.
- the same type of jerky accelerating happens in every gear (and yes, i know how to drive a stick, and no, im not a blonde, hehe.) the sticky acceleration seems to work better when shifting/driving at a higher rpm than usual, but not ideal by any means.
